So, recently I had to tell someone I dont wanna hang out with them any more because I some of their views are offensive and racist, and this makes me very uncomfortable as it’s not somethign I agree with at all.
Their response was to tell me that the scars on my wrists (which I have highlighted in this picture) that come from self harm in my past and I no longer find the need to hide make them uncomfortable, too, and if they can put up with that then I should be able to put up with their views.

Yeah, not so much!
I could rant on for a very, very long time about how offensive, insulting and hurtful I found this. And also on how ridiculous it was. But honestly? I think that anybody who thinks this is not worth my time or my arguments, so I will simply quote a very good friend “Racism is about hating other people; self harm is about hating yourself.”
